where did disappear the highlights control in the interactive rendering window, under the heading “tone mapping”?

If you mean “Highlight Compression”: it is now part of a sub-menu under “Filmic” (on the right side you find an arrow to be clicked!

You can add it via the plus sign as “Reinhard Highlight Compression”.

Should definitely be there by default IMHO.

Also in my opinion it should be immediately available. I believe that the choice of putting it under the “+” key depends that they want to standardize the FB window between Corona and Vray
