I created sketchup model with Vray 5 for my client but they use Vray 4.20.02. How can they open/render newer version of Vray? They have this message on the screen. Is it ok to click yes and render?
Do they have to update to Vray 5 or can I re-save as older version?

Files saved with newer V-Ray version can not be used in older versions.
The SketchUp file can still be loaded but as the message suggests all V-Ray data will be removed from the model.
Unfortunately you don’t have the option to ‘Save for an older V-Ray version’.
This is something that is doable but requires quite the effort from our side.
The user workflow is also not clear if we go in this direction.
For the time being it’s best for everyone working on the project to be on the same V-Ray version (V5 in your case).

I suspected that would be the case. Simply, I’ll ask my client to upgrade to Vray 5.
