I have an object next to a shiny and reflective metal surface.
How can I make it so that the object does not reflect in the metal surface?
Thanks,
Paul

Hi Paul,
For the purpose, you could use a V-Ray Override Material. To produce the desired render output, create two Generic materials. One will be used for the overall appearance and the other should be completely transparent. In the Override Material, slot the transparent material for ‘Reflections’ (might be necessary for Shadows as well). In this case, when secondary rays are raytraced for the object, the transparent material will be used.
