It could be cool if that were a tool integrated into a standard spot light. That way, even if you don’t have an IES light specific for a scene you can create some really nice lighting effects.
You could also try this one - it’s more versatile and has some technical graphs for lighting as well
Is there such thing as a parametric IES file? I’m working in Revit and want to create a family for a linear light fixture with an IES that can adapt to the length the user inputs.
Edit: I have seen both opinions.

Use Emissive materials.

Should I even be looking at IES? Emissive works for quick things and looks good, but I can never “throw” light in any predictable manner.
