Hi,
I want an object to throw shadow on a plane but I don’t want the plane to be visible, just the shadow and the reflections.
As far as I remember in the “old” vray 2.0 this was done with: ignore in secondary
But in the new vray I can’t find this option.
Is there any way to do this??
I found there is a wrapper thing, but I can’t figure out how it works…
Thank you!
Hi gbuschta,
The Ignore in Secondary option was not going to help in your case.
You can use the Matte_Shadow_Receiver material from the library Diagrammatic category.
It’ll create a Wrapper material with the proper options set and a Generic material used as a base.
You should then apply the Wrapper to the geometry.
Note: If you also want to see reflections on the ground you can just make the Reflection color of the Generic material white.

Konstantin
So, seems that I’m too stupid for that. - where do I find the library Diagrammatic category in Rhino?
Thank you very much for your help!
Found it, thank you!! It works!!!
