interior with noise

Hi,
I ask for help because I am not satisfact with these Images…Noise, noise…
This is just a part from big render (2000 x 1333 px - final)
I wann make Interior rendering with just vraysun, vray sky & vray cam, lwf gamma 2.0
So i am increased settings that I show here, but how much..?
Rendertime are 2h 40min on dual Xeon 5160, 4 Gb for the 2000x1333px

Any C&C are welcome
thanks

You can try to increase the global subdivs multiplier a bit more, and perhaps reduce the Noise threshold a little bit (e.g. to 0.003).

Best regards,
Vlado

If i increase QMC GI to 32 sub, rendertime from 2h 40min goes to around 5 hour to render?.. deadline is tommorow…

Well, in that case you can try to use the irradiance map; also it looks like some of the noise is coming from glossy reflections too, not just GI - which is why I suggested to increase the global subdivs multiplier rather than just the GI subdivs.

Best regards,
Vlado

Increasing Global sub mult. should I use LC for the glossy or leave unticked?

You can keep it ON, it should speed things up.

Best regards,
Vlado

Thank for your comments. I appreciate very mouch

.85 .005 just doesn’t really cut it for adaptive qmc antialiasing. You need to lower your noise threshold like vlado said or switch to Irrad map, as it produces alot less noise then QMC GI.

Have you tried taking the image into some post software and trying noise removal? I really dig digital fusions noise removal tool. I think AE has a similiar one also.

Thanks percy, stil no try noise removal software, probably in the next time…

fusions noise removal is great!

on that noise issue with regard to animations do you guys leave the time dependent box checked or unchecked in the rqmc section?

i usually just leave it set to default

depends what effect your after, i usually leave time independent on the default as well, but have wanted that ‘old, noisey and dusty’ effect so have unticked it so the noise pattern changes frame to frame.

I was asking because I thought noise reduction filters had a temporal element to them that compared adjacent frames to help the process of eliminating noise. with time dependent on the noise is stationary with it off it changes frame to frame and I thought that might be better for use with a noise reduction filter. but of course I’ve never tried it.
