IOR setting for refractive materials (fresnel)

Hallo,

I wonder me about the refractive IOR at the fresnel function. For what is it needed? If I like to setup a refractive material, should I set the refractive IOR of the fresnel and the refraction layer?

Yes it should have the same IOR as the refraction layer if one is present. That parameter may be removed in a future SR - or at least the UI modified - because I’m not sure there is any benefit to having it there ( as was brought to my attention by Flipside ).
