im planning to buy something like Asus rog strix g16 to work on my exterior projects. Mostly im rendering with hybrid not corons high quality and tent.
and i would buy also cooling pad for laptop.
what do you think, would it be good for 3ds max and corona?

I use a rog strix scar for all my 3D work which I purchased in 2021, Its still very good and I don’t plan on upgrading it for another 2 years. Most of the scenes I work on are generally under 64gb ram so Ive had no issues, its fast and the AMD variant is surprisingly quiet and power efficient. For example I work while traveling so ill usually switch to the integrated gpu to get 6hours battery and it still runs 3dsmax quite well (which is also another nice surprise).
One negative for me is that asus tend to have some stuttering issues with lots of their laptops, its a bit of a lottery so good luck on that front. Mine also does stutter for about 1-2 seconds twice per day and while its not that bad it does get annoying since its a very expensive laptop and there is just no way to fix it. I did the usual tips such as replace armory crate with ghelper, remove myasus app, update all drivers etc still no dice. Otherwise the stutter doesn’t have an impact on my work.
One good tip on keeping it performing well over the years is get the fans deep cleaned every 6 months and replace the thermal gel on cpu/gpu every 2 years. I can barely hear the fans on mine running full power but that will vary based on the cpu choice (intel/amd) and the size of the laptop, larger = better cooling so wont get as hot/loud. My previous intel laptop was very very loud and just annoyed me too much.
Are you sure this is Asus thing and not AMD? Every AMD PC I own stutters daily due to fTPM module.

Not sure really, but good to know it could be amd related.
I did see recently that asus owned up to the stutter issue and hopefully will release some fixes in future, I wont hold my breath but interesting that this stutter also affects desktops. Curious now that you mention it, does that mean your amd hardware is also asus or also other brands?
