In relation to Vray…
I appreciate you are bussy , and moving offices.
I was hoping that the sigraph presentation would be up by now, and is there any news of a new release or update?
Again , I know your bussy, and we are not tied into any updates, but i am always want to see whats coming as i use it everyday.

I’m curious what’s next
I think I’ve read somewhere vlado mentioning a sp3, even though he didn’t say when it should be out. and I guess the guys in sofia are pretty busy working on vray rt at the moment.
There is a SP3 coming sometime soon. V-Ray for XSI will go public beta at around the same time. V-Ray 2.0 for 3ds Max along with V-Ray for Maya will appear sometime in the beginning of the next year.

sounds like a huge upgrade, a little sneak peek… just a little…
and SP3 , what is new, what is fixed ,what is added ??? just curious..
Maybe we’ll get a VRay ViewCube and steering wheel.

rumors indicates a great feature fro 2.0:
- full integration with ABGS (Autodesk Bugs Generator Software).
No more few bugs for vray…only big and (voluntarily)unsolvable bugs.

What’s wrong with asking about what was said at the Siggraph meeting?
There was a great thread started before the last forum crash that had all the info but sadly it is lost MorbidAngel had put together a pretty good list. I don’t remember it clearly enough to try and rewrite it.

Maybe there will be an error reporting system available also…
Or maybe 2.0 will be an initiation of a subscription service.
Each big release from VRay have been awesome. I cant wait.

yes and a real animation mode with easy presets, and a “prepass mode” to automaticaly prepass images at the half resolution and render it to the full size…, and maybe a slot for an occlusion opacity for glasses or other transparent things…
does anyone know if 2.0 is expected to be a free upgrade or will it require a new purchase? I have a vague memory from our initial purchase way back when that upgrades were included up to v1.5. So I was assuming beyond that wouldn’t be included?
