Anyone else been having issues with last bucket taking forever to finish? Been seeing that more and more in the office across several workstations. It will hang and you can’t really do anything but just sit there and let it finish. Can’t even cancel it.

i am using the latest available version for Max 2012. i am writing from home now unfortunatelly…i will send you the scene on Tuesday after Easter. Thank you very much!

I currently have a scene, that has stuck buckets. It’s a pretty simple scene, but 16 buckets have been sitting there all weekend and they have 38hrs remaining. And, I can’t cancel the render, either.

Maybe check the memory being used? I have had issues where I forgot to up the Dynamic memory limit in the Vray Settings. Just an idea. DR is one finicky thing! Nothing worse than seeing a huge render choke on the last few buckets.

I have been leaving my memory at 0 auto, which should default to everything available.[quote=“alexitoland, username:alexitoland”] Maybe check the memory being used? I have had issues where I forgot to up the Dynamic memory limit in the Vray Settings. Just an idea. DR is one finicky thing! Nothin…

Hi Vlado, i am just sending the scene over the wetransfer. Thanks Best

Bobby, just cancel the render, save your layers and render the bits with DR turned off just to get away with this at this point…its the only way i guess for now

it took about 15 minutes to cancel. I removed my Fresnel reflections, which solved the issue. After removing the Fresnel reflections the scene rendered in 2hrs.

omg  15 mins to cancel…nice…wonder why the fresnel caused it…what number did you have set for cutoff?

dagnabit! I’m having the issue again, but this time, without Fresnel. I have rendered the scene 20x’s without an issue, but all of a sudden, it’s stuck! And it;s also taking forever to cancel. Any clues?[quote=“dejaVu, username:dejaVu”] omg  15 mins to cancel…nice…wonder why the fres…

absolutelly no idea :-/// perhaps divide the image into regionas and render over backburner and put back together in PS i sincerely hope Vlado will find cure to this it seems to spread like a black death

I canceled the scene last night, and it was still hanging this morning. The odd thing is other camera views work just fine. All the materials are the same, except for one, so I’ll look into that.
