Lens effects with lens distortion?

Is it not possible to generate lens effects alongside physical camera lens distortion?

Remarkably just playing with this for the first time ever, and if I apply some cubic lens distortion, my lens effects are not calculated – there is nothing shown in the VFB and although a glare and effectsResult channel are generated they are actually empty (and I don’t mean black, they are simply not there even though the channel name appears in the drop-down at the top left of the VFB window).

Since these are post effects I’m confused as to why these would not work with a distorted image. If I want lens distortion but also to generate lens effects, am I limited to overscan rendering and applying lens distortion in post?

Or am I missing something here?

Working fine on my end. The lens effects are a post-render effect that depends on pixel values. Maybe the distortion manipulates the pixels below the lens effects’ threshold.

Do attach a simple scene.

This appears to have been related to the unreliable and rather confusing UI feedback given in the VFB of the Lens Effects on or off state.
