Re: light too bringt

Are you using the Sky map as GI light? Or is it the Default Light that create the ‘sun’?

Are you mostly using the default settings of SR1.5? (1.05.30)

Re: light too bringt

ok,i ve these settings for the vray

general switches-lightning Lights, Hidden Lights, Default Lights and Shadows (on)

enviroment - GI is on - sky in vray texture (off)

hope you can understand, ive tried to add a image of the settings but i couldnt,

thnks

Re: light too bringt

You must upload the image at another location and link to it. http://forum.asgvis.com/index.php?topic=2043.0

Re: light too bringt

You haven’t loaded a sky in the GI slot. To do so you have to click on the small “m” beside GI Lighting, and where it says “None” change it to “sky”, it’s on page 78 of the manual. I’m a bit confused when you say the “shadows look nice”- how can you have any shadows when you have no VRay sky/sun?

Re: light too bringt

Because of the Default Light. It’s like a directional light in the position of the sun. But you have no control over it.

If you use the Sky map as GI light without physical camera you have to set the multiplier way down.

I work with Sky and Physical Camera as I feel I have more control. Not really sure what to recommend for your setup.

Re: light too bringt

If you’re trying to use the Sun and Sky with the regular camera, you can adjust the Intensity Multiplier from within the Sky settings so that it will have a more “usable” intensity level. If you change the Intensity Multiplier to .03 that will work perfectly with the regular camera.

Re: light too bringt

hi,
ive try to decrease the Intensity Multiplier since 0.03 but i still have problems with the render, the background is grey as i want but now the other part is completly white…i dont know what i doing wrong…here theres the link white my settings hope u can help me,
