How are you guys utilizing the live link camera workflow especially in large files are you doing camera groups? Also cameras just kind of arbitrarily drop out of camera all the time and it’s a pain in the **** to have to reload the file has anyone found a work around that software is amazing but the camera integration between live link they seemed to fight each other I was wondering if anyone as a good workflow
Is no one working this way I lose and gain cameras like crazy Sometimes half of them go away sometimes I get double cameras
When the scene contains V-Ray Physical Cameras, switching to the perspective viewport exports all cameras. If you are using 3ds Max native cameras, this may explain why cameras are frequently missing after export
The problem I encountered may differ somewhat from yours.That said, there is indeed an issue with Chaos Vantage native cameras. When enabling Live Link each time, native cameras fail to be assigned to the camera group underneath.It is unclear whether this is intended behavior or a bug in Chaos Vantage. The workflow feels somewhat awkward. When rendering single frames with queue by group enabled, one frame is always missing from the render queue.
When the scene contains nine V-Ray Physical Cameras, enabling Live Link results in only eight cameras being populated in the camera group below. The missing camera is the native camera. It is necessary to manually create an extra camera and assign it to this lower group. This behavior is cumbersome and impractical. The camera group should normally list all nine cameras. I’d like to know if you have encountered this problem.
If vantage is your main renderer there’s no point to store cameras in Max. I save them all in .vantage file and reload as config next time - no headache
I have to share my cameras with other people…
yes im always missing one…or more cameras
There’s a command to bring vantage cameras to max, but I don’t insist

you can import cameras only from any vantage file, it’s not related to livelink
