It would be fantastic if different types of long grass was a material preset. Something along the lines to differentiate between mown or manicured lawns to natural, overgrown, and prairie grasses. This could saves hours in skattering.

Since grass is so widely used and seen for so many projects, it would only make sense to try to perfect that asset as much as possible. Even the grass that is currently being used could still be adjusted. I feel like Enscape grass is something that is severely lacking in quality even though it is the asset that is the most produced across a project across all projects.
As far as assets, the more it is used and seen across projects, the higher the priority, No?
I appreciate the feedback and agree with you of course that grass is very important for many types of projects. We’re aware that there is still room for improvement too, currently though further grass options are not planned to be added with release 3.2 at least.
Also, just to make sure you’re aware in case you were not, there is a way to change the grass texture entirely [Click here] - I know that this isn’t an ideal solution of course and have certainly forwarded your Feedback to our 3D Artists / Product management team as well.
Thanks @Demian_Gutberlet for understanding. I have seen that original grass post awhile back and it does seem to improve the grass a lot. But if its just a simple replacement of a png, why can’t the Devs just do that on the backend and release it with an update? Multiple types of pngs maybe? Thanks
That could pretty certainly be an option of course, but we have simply not yet tackled this specific subject in detail. I’ll also add your further input to the existing feedback I’ve forwarded.
