Is it possible to have Material ID in the render mask option ?
We can do that only for Object IDs, which actually is already in the builds.
Material would be useful though in case say youw anted to change a specific material in a “subtle” way which does not influence GI etc too much and only render that new material.
Material IDs are a bit tricky, as the ID of a material is known only after that material is shaded. But we’ll see what can be done about it. At least for V-Ray materials there might be a way around this.

Support only for vraymaterials would be absolutely fine I think since we’re not supposed to use other shaders anyways and I don’t see a reason to do so. ![]()
