Anyone know when it is being released?
All it says on the Discreet/Autodesk website is April 2005.

wouldnt it make more sence to ask after april then be able to say. april has come and gone and no sight of it.

My dealer says it should be out around the end of this week.
I think they will release it before NAB so it should be here before 18 april.

Getting neart to Siggraph
? For my money if it isn’t released this Wednesday - press things seem to happen for Discreet - sorry - Autodesk, in the middle of the week for some reason, then it will be at least a month before we see any action.
Getting which is getting near to Siggraph - well maybe not that near but with NAB gone it seems strange that they are going to release 7.5 and then - if you take the the last two years or so as the presidence release 8 for Siggraph. It usually takes a week or two before you can actually get your hands on it and then the usual bugs, crashes patches - doesn’t bode too good and more importantly - what are they going to offer to get us excited for 8 ?

Yeah, I know but I’m having problems downloading it, just get a message “Cannot find Server”. Can anyone else get it?

I got it from the subscription logon page Buy With Autodesk | Purchase Options | Autodesk
That’s where I’m trying to download it from. I get as far as the page with the three latest downloads on then whichever one I click on I just get the error message. I think it must be my proxy settings or antivirus getting in the way. I’ll try again on Monday or from home.

Downloading issues
I was having the same issue - thanks to xP Spk.2 Hidden at the top of the page was a pop-up telling me that the download was blocked. Annoying anti-virus features. I am downloading now and can’t wait to give it whirl. No doubt there will be the usual issues but finally hair natively in 3DS - wow 3ds is coming of age !!
I think you should be able to download. Take a look to your “popup” settings.

The server was overloaded for the most part of yesterday, and it was very hard to get through. I was finally able to download it at 2 am last night.
How come the splash screens, about boxes etc. all say 7.0 or max 7 service pack 1. And wasn’t the delay because they were supposed to be rebranding it to Autodesk? I guess not..
