There are two glass doors. The one on the left has a good reflection. The one on the right is using the same material, but has no reflection!?
I’ve tried flipping the glass object over, and most recently, cloned the one on left and moved it to the right. Still nothing. They are totally parallel with each other. This seems really strange!?
it’s going to be a normals problem i can almost guarantee it. If you’re cloning it it might be getting flipped, and if you’re trying to flip the normals in edit mesh mode then they will likely be ignored. best to just create a fresh box and be done with it.
I just realized that the glass material has a falloff parameter (set at 100) on the reflection map, and is set to “fresnel”. Could this be an issue?
Good advice. I’ll give that a shot and let you know. Thanks!
Turns out that it’s a falloff shader issue in the Relections map. I had it set to fresnel. I changed it to parallel/perpendicular and that seems to have fixed it.
Thanks.
That dount sound like proper fix… U should be able to use Fresnel. Can you try not using fresnell texture and just use fresnell tick in vray mtl?
