I’v been looking into the 3dsmax SDK and vraySDK for a while now. trying to create some shaders and such. but currently i’m somewhere like “jeuh, just got an example working” so. hehe to much to learn.
But well when doing this is searched on the internet for websites that are about shaders and how to write them.
here i came accros a website called MyMentalRay. now we all know mentalray is very open and more people are programming with this then for example vray.
But i also thought maybe their is a lack of a good, and specific place to get awnsers, examples, sources that is foccused on vray. So i wonder if more people have this need? and maybe it would be an idea to build up sorta MyVray website.. ?
I would have thought asking the Chaos guys to consider
devoting a section of the Forums here to this would be
a better idea! After all these are amongst the most active
renderer forums around.
My vote is yes too, and I agree with Brian to dedicate a forum section to it.
It may seem harsh, but to supply that kind of information to legit users seems more fair to me and could be a way to pursuade others to buy VRay?
Since Mental Ray comes with Max, MyMentalRay is free…
