i have the impression that, before this “actualization thing” the setup was easier (in relation with the camera). Now you need to change alots of things to get back to the old vray camera.

the standar spotlight doesnt work like the old version, the new physical camera.. the atenuation functions are different. Please help Vlado!

If the new camera bothers you too much, you can create the old camera by typing the following into the MaxScript listener:vrayCreateVRayPhysicalCamera()The camera will be created at the coordinate system origin. You might also want to remove the Physical Camera Exposure Control plugin. Best regards…

I quickly tested at home and I was wondering if there is any switch “Exposure” in that new camera? I liked using the VRayCamera features even with HDRIs where I don’t need the exposure.

Hi Vlado… thx for the answer. The camera its perfect but the knowledge about the new camera on vray its limited. And the issue on the standar spotlight it doesnt response like before.

We will update the help files. As for the spotlight I am not sure this is V-Ray related issue now, but as Vlado mentioned you can always create VRayPhysicalCamera with MaxScript and use it instead.

i just had a quick play so far with the new max physical camera… it’s completely wonderful, thanks Vlado & team :slight_smile: the exposure gain thing is genuis, and ticks off my no.1 wish for some kind of EV workflow in the physical camera.
