next Vray for Maya official release

Would love to get an updated regarding the next official release of Vray for Maya.

Will there be an official 2.4 release (not nightlies) or will it not happen until version 3.0?

We are waiting to upgrade our renderfarm, so I was hoping for some kind of update of when we can expect the next Vray for Maya official release.

If nothing goes terribly wrong it will be released somewhere in September. We will start nightly builds from the stable 2.4 branch very soon.

Is there a list of new features somewhere? Will shade map be included?

Thanks to all. Just downloaded 2.40.01 for Maya 2014. It’s been a dry spell…

trying downloading teh edu version..
i can see it the link .. but get this error message
“The file you are trying to download can not be found.”"

2.4 edu for 2013 or 2014 x64

Hm, works fine for me. If you still have issues to download the files on Monday, please email us to vraymaya@chaosgroup.com and our support guys will help you out.

Have a question looked last night and all the vray for maya V2.4 links were posted. I thought I would wait till tomorrow to download but now all the vray 2.4 builds have been removed is there a reason for this? Can the links be re posted clearly from reading
some people have already downloaded the new edu version and are using would like to update.

Same here. I couldn’t see the maya v2.4 links in either the ADV or EDU download section.

well - i’m able to download them from the nightlies section - a stable version 2.4 . ..

it’s not in the regular download section (http://www.chaosgroup.com/en/2/downloads.html), where you might have checked?!

There were some issues with the 2.4 builds and they will be re-uploaded again.

We will pull the SP back for the moment due to some issues. I will post a recompile of V-Ray 2.3 for Maya 2014 hopefully in a couple of days.
