Not another interior scene...

Hi guys.
Im new here, inspite the fact that im register quite a few time i never actualy post anything, so here its my first “presentation”
I can say that Im new in Vray but Im in the still begining

and there is another one small diferences only

Please tell me what can i do increase the quality of this picture.

Thanx in advance

pretty good start! I think the first thing that comes to mind is that your missing alot of contrast in your lighting. Maybe a screenshot of you scene showing your lighting rig would be helpful. That and a screenshot of your render settings.

Here is my settings prety standart e didnt even change nothing in the Qmc sampler.

two lights one vray light and one directional light, here it is with the settings of the vray light.

and the render setings

Thanx in advance.

Your irradiance map isn’t high enough. for a final image, I usually go for no lower then -3, -1 for an interior. Your not getting good lighting in the corners because your irradiance map lacks definition. Also, for AA, if you dont have alot of QMC effects (glossy reflections, DOF, or MOblur) then using the adaptive AA sampler is quicker.

Your lighting rig looks okay.

I’d use exponential on color-mapping type.

Andaste a inspirar-te nos trabalhos da Big-Spot

Força nisso.

retirado can you keep it English please.

Hello Lirgo.

Have you inspired in the works of Big-Spot

I really dont know what are talking about. :frowning:

this room was made a year ago but only now I used vray to iluminate de scene.

heu..sorry lirgo, i don’t speek portuges but you badly translate the smiley…

I put higer values in the irradiance map(-1;1) and put color mapping to exponential, but didnt work there, still there isnt no contrast in the sahdows

Strange… Could you post the file here so we can have a closer look at it?

Regards,

Nenad

Here you go.

okay your problem was your key light had raytraced shadows instead of vrayshadows. Also looking at your material editor, use vray materials as much as possible, it will render alot faster.

To add to what Percy said, the contrast issue was caused by the standard materials having an ambient color. Converting to Vray Material will automatically get you rid of this “problem”. GI is precisely what will take care of the ambient.

Hi Lirgo!

I made some quick changes in your file, hope it will help you!

Remember, as percydaman and nenad said, always use vrays materials,
and always use vray shadows in your lights.

UPDATE: File removed
