The Nvidia 6800 is just about to roll off the shelves (30 some days?) It has had a series of outstanding reviews across the boards. See the following link from TomsHardware:

I’m just wondering if anyone has come across any links/benchmarks comparing the NV 6800 to more ‘professional’ cards such as the Quadro and ATI OpenGL X series. If you have, please post them. For now I’m putting off getting an XL. Plus I gather ATI is ready to unveil its 600 Mhz flagship towards the end of April. Any thoughts as to whether the 6800 blows the current Quadros out of the water?

wow.. nice.
lets see what ATI will show this month.
well since the quadro is essentially identical to the commercial card, with extra features enabled thru the driver (hw accelerated wireframe for example) the performance difference betwen a geforce fx 5950 and a quadro fx 3000 is not as great as some would lead you to believe.. and since the new geforce is at least twice as fast as a 5950, i asssume it will piss all over current quadros, but this doesnt matter since there will almost certainly be a quadro version of the new geforce soon after launch… will be a very nice card!
also did people see this yet? one good reason (of very few) to buy a quadro rather than a geforce :
NVIDIA - Maintenance
wonder how that will compare to vray!
Here’s a new link on the soon to be released Quadro 4000 series…:
