Old Corona Material Librabry missing textures

I have to revise and render out an old scene that is looking for textures associated with the old material library. These scenes were rendered with version 14, and I had the material library downloaded locally.

When I open the scene, I get the standard Max Missing External Files window. Is there any way to get these textures from the Cosmos Library? If so, how would I find them in the Cosmos?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

Please try the following:

(the content of the Corona 11 HF2 material library should be the same as in newer versions)

  1. Download Corona 11 Hotfix 2 from Download | My Chaos
  2. Then download the material library package from https://installer.corona-renderer.com/3dsmax/11/MaterialLibrary
  3. Put the MaterialLibrary file next to the Corona 11 HF2 installer (just place both in the same folder)
  4. Run the Corona 11 HF2 installer
  5. On the second page of the installer, select “Unpack files” and click “Unpack”
  6. This will unpack the whole Corona installation, including the material library, into the folder of your choice
  7. Go to the unpacked folder\Corona\materials - you will find the material library here
  8. Optionally, you can move it anywhere you wish

Thank you! I will give this a try.

I hope it worked.

Another idea would be checking if the assets are here and adding this path to the 3ds Max asset tracker: C:\Program Files\Chaos\Corona\materials\assets

Hi, sorry for the late reply. It’s been busy. Yes, it did work. Thank you for your help!

Thanks for the update. Can you specify which solution worked? Unpacking from an older version, or was the library always there at C:\Program Files\Chaos\Corona\materials\assets ?
