Was given the go-ahead for this last Thursday and had to guess at what the client liked. It served the purpose of showing him a pretty picture so that’s it. I wanted to add the dining table and various other things so it does seem a little empty. Looking for feedback on my lighting/the feel of the image. I don’t get to do interiors often so I’m a little rusty!
Yeah I tried 128 samples and it cleared it up completely, but I needed to know I could render it quickly rather than overnight. Not a fan of DE either - I rather render out an AO pass and multiply it at about 30%, which i’ll do if i’m told to do further work on it. But for now, I’m onto 5 interiors in ~2 weeks with constant changes up until the last second!
The GI solution is looking very flat though. I would change your irradiance min/max setting to fix this & also fix the splochiness as well.
My settings for a room like this [at the resolution you have] would be about -6 min & -2 max and 100 HSph subdiv. I understand render time is always an issue.
