Persistent File Names When Batch Rendering

Problem: When batch rendering images, Enscape creates unique file names that deviate from Revit View name, with new / unique time stamp details, etc.

Result: Customer has to manually rename renderings when time batch rendering in order to maintain consistent file naming and links to in the construction document set.

Solution: When batch rendering images from Enscape, allow persistent file names (preferably based on the Revit view name). In this manner as the design changes and new images are batch rendered, previous renderings are automatically overridden and updated.

Can you elaborate a little on that?
How are the panoramas used? Are you referring to using QR Codes as well?

CHAOS PLEASE!

This still isn’t sorted we just need the parameter ‘CAD VIEW NAME’ to be included the output image title!

Just a side note: this should be related to all softwares, not only the ones referred here. Naming strategy is on the authoring software side, so there should be a way to keep that naming, with file names, objects names etc…

Batch rendering 360 images in Enscape from Sketchup also gives filename not being same as view name. Please make it som that batch rendering 360 images in all design software keeps view name. Alos important when sorting images in Chaos Cloud VR tour.

In architectural practices you first set up your Named Views (in View Manager in Enscape and/or in CAD/BIM like SketchUp, Rhinoceros and Revit). Then you do a batchrender in lowres using the final aspect-ratio such as 16:9. You can then hand of the result to the graphics department (or your-self) and link to the low-res-files in Adobe InDesign, Affinity Publisher and/or Rhinoceros Layout and SketchUp Layout (all of them support Links). When you later on add details and assets to your project, you might choose to change the resolution to 4K 16:9 and do a new batchrender, simply overwriting the first set of lowres renders, you did earlier in the process. If the names of the images was ALWAYS just the Name of the View, you could update your presentation in 5 sec.

Renders placed on different pages in LayOut-document needs updating now and then as projects progress.

Currently I have to relink each (sometimes up to 30 views / renders), which takes precious time.

If the file names after batch rendering in Enscape were the same each time, I can just click update in LayOut, instead of relinking each everytime.

V-Ray handles this painlessly, maybe Enscape could too?
