I try a nightlie version and has two problems in max 2016:
1. Physical camera wont work. I can make any changes to exposure, but picture looks still the same. Maybe missing something. The only way I make it to work is with VRay exposure setting, but I think its a bad way how to do this. And viewport didnt change too.
2. VrayCurvature looks great. I tried it with simple box with turbosmooth and working perfectly. But then I tried well known Dragon object and result was really weird.
Which build did you try? The way Autodesk implemented it, for the physical camera exposure to work, you need to add a Physical Camera Exposure control - normally this is done automatically when you enable exposure for the camera, I think.
There are two well-known dragons (the XYZRGB one and the Standford one) - which one did you try?
I test it now and it works. Only for camera - viewport looks totaly different from picture. Toooooooo dark from actual image, its really a pitty.
VRayCurvature looks good even with Dragon now. Maybe I have somethink different for the first time, not sure exactly.
But one more question, pictures with LWF (with srgb button on) now saves bad with automatic gamma, which worked fine in previous releases. Or same changed behaviour?
But one more question, pictures with LWF (with srgb button on) now saves bad with automatic gamma, which worked fine in previous releases. Or same changed behaviour?I don’t think Autodesk changed anything in that regard. Make sure that the file output gamma is 2.2 (in the MaxScript listener type fileoutgamma=2.2)
