hi everybody !!! i need a little help with this i cant install vray in my sketchup 7 and i dont know what happen!!! help please!!!

Do you get any error messages? Not much to go on here.
I’ve had no problem with SU7 on both XP and Vista.
Mind you though, that the installer will suggest installing to “Program Files” by default. If you’re like me, with a non-english OS that path name will be different.

I think you have SU 7 and SU 6 in your computer…if so, you can’t install vray with SU 7…I’m just guessing here..

At the moment, both installs cannot happen at the same time. Therefore, if you have VfSU 6 already installed, and would like to install it on SU 7, you MUST remove the SU 6 install first. Then, while running the installer again, you must MANUALLY change the install path from …SketchUp 6\ to …SketchUp 7\ We’re working on a separate installer, but thats the situation at the moment.

well when i uninstall vray 1.0 of sketchup 6 and try to install to sketchup 7 everything its right, the problem happen when i try to use sketchup 7 and the program be closed!!

If you’re getting a crash, then you’ll need to provide us with a whole lot more information. The verdict is still out on SU7 and its very new, so just telling us that it closed doesn’t do us a whole lot of good. What are you trying to do when it closes? What language install to you have of SU?

I am also having problems with SU 7 and vRay. It takes a while to start, but that is fixed now, but… The render window comes up and starts rendering then the program closes without warning, bugsplat dosn’t even come up. Any fixes for this?

Its just this one so far, I am checking out some otherones right now, it has done it in the past before I upgraded to 1.5.

If you have a model that keeps crashing every time then submit it to the support team along with info on your machine, other running software and installed SU plugins.

Ok, it is something with that model, I have tried copying it to a new file (sometimes that works) and adjusted a few things, purged, and ran the component / group ruby script. I think I will have to remodel it, I was not the author of the model and its not good. I also went back to a few I modeled and then started another couple test models from scratch and they all seem to work fine. What could be wrong with this one model?

Not sure. Weird that copying it to a new model doesn’t work, as that tend to remedy these kind of things. Send it to support as they might be able to dissect it and find out why.

Will do. The other thing I just noticed since my computer was running super slow is that it would keep sketchup running in the background, rendering the image. I noticed this since it said we ran out of liceneses and we have more than 25, wouldn’t think 25 people in the firm were using it at once. Weird stuff is going on, maybe it took off for the holidays early. Thanks for the help!
