I have this video I’m trying to make where I have this golden blocks where I want to project videos on the walls. I have searched and searched on the corona forums to see if there is a way. The only way I could find suggested by Ondra is to have a light material with high directionalality. But this doesn’t work, the source image becomes very blurry even at directionality of 1. Has anyone got a solution to this or is this a limitation in Corona renderer??? Using regular Max lights corona doesn’t do anything when I add a texture in the projection map slot either.
Any help appreciated!
Projector map in 3ds max native lights does work with Corona, just make sure that you’re using standard lights and not photometric ones.
Ah, you are right, it didn’t work when I used Corona bitmap then it got completely distorted. And it didn’t update in the interactive rendering until I stopped and started it, which is why I didn’t think it worked. Excellent! thanks a lot, then I know there’s a workaround. I’ll add a feature request for the ability to add this to corona lights I think it should be a feature in Corona.
thanks again!
No problem! I checked and indeed Corona interactive has troubles to register changes in standard lights, i’ll report that as a bug.
As for the feature request, i think it was requested already, but i might be wrong there.
Yeah I read a discussion for it that which was like 5 years old. But it was pretty much solved by saying Corona light material would fix it. But I think it should be solved properly.
Im going to project a video on this I hope it updates frames per image render even though interactive rendering doesnt update max default lights (?)
