Has anyone heard of Genius Rocket? I got sent an e-mail from them asking me to submit a 30 to 60-second commercial. Here’s a video I found describing what they’re about.
It’s an ad agency built around a contest business model. They get all these young and hungry people putting lots of hard work into creating ads and then pay the “winning” entry barely anything (considering they want a 30-60 second spot).
The whole concept really makes me mad (knowing what kind of money goes into advertising), but I can also see a younger version of myself feeling quite differently about it.
