Are Vray for sketchup and Vray for Rhino being developed by chaosgroup or is AGSvis the actual developers?
As a license holder of vray for 3dsmax do I have access to these plugins or do I have to pay and additional $800.00?
I’m a bit confused by this. I own sketchup 6pro and will invest in rhino soon and having vray as an option would be great but I can’t see spending another $800.00 for each plug.

As far as I know you have to pay for each individual plugin. Chaosgroup provides the SDK to some third party devlopers who in turn license from Chaosgroup.
You might be able to get a discount by talking to your reseller.
In any case why would you use vray in sketchup or rhino when you already have 3ds max? You know that you can export most files to OBJ and 3DS and import them into max? You are better off doing it this way.
In my office we have people that use Max (me) and we have people that use SketchUp (bad people - j/k). A lot of times the 2 never work together. If there was no additional cost or a lower cost to getting the SketchUp version of VRay I would be looking at getting it as well, so that I can support both groups.
