is it possible to render a depth pass without adding it to the beauty pass?
because i want to add the depth pass in after effects.
or do i need to render my sequence twice? (beauty and depth pass only)

Activate it in multipass and save it of course (rendersettings).
Hi, You can use the multi-pass for this and add a zdepth pass to the render. In your save render settings, you can enable save multi-pass in the format OpenEXR and set a save location. After rendering your scene once you can open that file which will be saved with layers. I hope that helps.
