I have this issue the other way with Corona where I put 2 hr limit but the render didnt reach an acceptable noise level, and having the image in history I could resume it to the desired one.
Can we have that in Vray, right now if I want to resume render, first I need to manually save an output and activate Resume Render, knowing that to use Resume Render a VRIMG is saved, could that be possible to use it from history?
It could be possible for bucket rendering without adjusting beforehand the option (Resumable rendering) in the Render settings. It won’t be possible for Progressive rendering. This will create different workflows. So in order to keep it straightforward it would be better to check Resumable rendering if you intend to use it.
It could be possible for Bucket? I thought it would be easier to do it with Progressive, well If the only catch would be to activate Resumable Rendering, Im all in, I mean, I could check that option and save it in my Template or save it as Default in newest versions of 3ds Max, but if still we need to set an output for the VRIMG that would be a bummer.
Hi Dimitar, well the thing is that I was asking if we could have a Resume Rendering like Corona, where you dont need to do anything, just save in history and continue Rendering, there are a lot of times that we dont know if we are going to use it, I was saying that if we have the image in history we could continue rendering instead of setting manually, knowing that in history images are saved as VRIMG a RAW V-Ray image, hope it makes sense.
