Revit cannot run the external application "3D Enscape" (Error only received in Revit 2025)

I recently downloaded Revit 2025 and I want to start upgrading projects from 2024 to 2025. Enscape runs just fine in Revit 2024, but when Iaunch 2025, I get this error message: “Revit cannot run the external application “3D Enscape”…”

I’ve run through the suggested process for fixing this issue from older posts:

“Please uninstall Enscape, then reboot the machine, run the Enscape installer again and in the first window of the installation process, where you will see the checkbox named ‘I accept the terms in the License Agreement’ make sure that is checked. This will enable the Advanced button which you should then click to proceed to the next window which will offer you the option to install for all users of the machine.”

But I continue to get the same error when I launch Revit 2025. I’m on the latest version, but I’ve also tried the above process while reverting to the previous version (Version 4.0.1.48), but the problem persists… Older versions do not support Revit 2025.

I’m now at a loss of what to try next but it doesn’t seem like this is a problem many people are having at the moment.

I found another (poorly titled) post with a last resort suggestion of uninstalling keynote manager and reinstalling enscape and enscape now works for me

Surprisingly, this (uninstalling Keynote Manager, then reinstalling Enscape) actually worked for me too. Now, I’m afraid to reinstall keynote manager. :stuck_out_tongue:
