Saving a universal V-Ray Material

Hello,

Is it possible to make a material in Maya with V-Ray and export it to be used in 3ds max?

I am making complex fabric materials and maya seems to be better for the task. I would like to save the materials for use in 3ds max Vlado-Ray.

Assign the material to a cube and export a .vrscene file with it. You can then load the material from that file through the VRayVRMat material.
