is there a way to save the vray settings when changing from a computer to another inside or outside the 3dm file ? or from session to another…

Yes go to the VRay → Options and click File->Save and you can save it in our VRay for Rhino Options file format…*.visopt

Joe, could you make that the visopt file is in a file format readable for the simple windows editor? So we could direct share settings here as text.

I don’t understand. Did you mean the workflow? I think, it could be nice if the user could copy an option list from the forum here to a standard WINDOWS text file and rename it. I have used this way in the past to post renderman shaders. No extra file server was needed.
