Scene with lights turned off

When I turn off all the lights and do a render, it should render black and give me an error saying there are no lights in the scene right?

I ask because when I turn off my dome light (the only light in the scene) and do another render, it renders it as if I still have the light on.

Do you have a vray sky node in the outline?

Default light may be on? Or you have environment color, check in camera environment.

Ah ha! Good call on the camera environment color​. It was white and should of been black. Thanks!
