I dont know why we dont have this tool in Corona Interactive Lightmix.
I have already published this into Ideas portal.
In the meantime I ask Gemini Pro to write it, hope it helps, also I edit the icons to have it in toolbar.

I have written my version some time ago, can’t remember though where it is.
Be sure to cover some cases like: a light is added to lightselect already, and is being added to another. It should be removed from the earlier one. In such case, if lightselect gets all it’s lights (re)moved to another new one, it should be deleted.
Give it also an option to specify a name when creating new lightselect layer, that was actually the thing that made me to write my own script.

Thanks for the feedback, I thought about those situations but i dont need them in my workflow, I keep very well organized my scenes, I always rename the lights/objects/materials that im working on and when I create the light groups I havent had the issue were I have duplicated the light in another lightselect, because what I only needed was a tool where I could add ony new lights.

I just ask Gemini to write one with the options I needed.
Im curious when u say “I have written my version some time ago” why doesnt Corona have this kind of options, We are in Corona 14 and still many tools feel very old, I used to work with V-Ray and I always struggling in how Corona works. I know that Corona team is small compared to V-Ray but it really its taking too long that old features have a significant improvement (I have already published a lot of “ideas” into portal), also it seens that many people doesnt seem to care, for what I have read in forum many prefare that Corona stays like this forever.
