Hi there
maybe i’m doing something stupid but is there any way to get a frontal background in the environemtn slot in v-ray 6? i want to make a shadow catcher over a photo… not a 360 spherical environment
on V-ray 3.7 we had the chance to choose the type of projection (flat; frontal; etc)
is that possible or is there any chance to do that.
thanks in advance and sorry if there are a topic related. I can not find
thanks

Hello @nunomatos ,
To project a photo to the background, you can use the native Cinema4D background object as shown here. Please make sure to set any dome lights to invisible if you have such in your scene. Alternatively, you can add your image in post-production directly in the VFB. Simply add a Background layer and set the path to the image. Again, make sure that your lights don’t affect the alpha. Please check this video. Let me know if that is of help.
Hi Aleksander. thanks so much for your prompt answer. In fact both solutions works perfectly but i found really interesting the one on VFB
thanks
