I am using 3ds max 2023 with latest VRay and Forest Pack. But when I use IPR and modifying material of FP object in slate while IPR is running, I got close whole max without any warning after some material modification. So I cant use IPR because dont know if crash after second or fifth modify. Really terrible, can this be solved somehow please?

I had some weird crashing issue with FP where I had to duplicate (copy) my FP.. Then things worked if I hid the original version. However, if I deleted the original FP the crashes would come back. Maybe try duplicating your FP and keeping the copy but hiding it.
i’ve had crashes with IPR and Forest for a long time now. v8.0.6 in forest pack right now and can’t upgrade to anything newer b/c my license got switched. i just installed vray 61004. not sure if that helped me? anyway the problem happens with me when adjusting anything even other materials not assigned to FP. or starting/stopping IPR several times in a row. my only solution so far is to turn off the FP objects do IPR for other adjustment then be ultra careful with adjustments in any FP objects, then crash anyway.
That was what I ran into when I found that copying the FP object and turning off the original fixed it, so long as I didn’t delete the original.
