Some animation test

Hi,

I´ve done this test last night with the well known Sponza scene, since I dont use to do any animations I give this a try…

I ve use Vray Skylight and a Standart Direct light as a Sun, with irradiance map with incremental add option to take the aditional samples with five shots. The 400 frames of it tooked 8 hours to render with adaptative subdivision.

C&C are allways wellcome

Gonçalo

nice work Gonçalo…
very smooth

Natty

Beautifull! nice render times too  nice production/compression on the wmv too.

Thanks guys

wow that is smooth. what proggie/codec did you use to compress it?

-juju

Hi Jujubee,

The codec was indeo5 at 90%, and then another compression from the Windows media player…

Gonçalo

straight out of max?

Yes…

Gonçalo I have no idea how you can actually ask for critiques…your work is perfect!

HI GONçALO i’M PENGO

WHAT CAN I SAY ABOUT THIS ANIMATION

YOU KNOW VRAY PERFECTLY

GREAT WORK

U ARE MY REFERENCE FOR 3D LIGHTING :stuck_out_tongue:

and he is catching up to me in # of posts. another 200 to go…although i admit i did go through a fairly silent phase. hehe
sweet work dude. keep it up (the anim i mean)

GoncaloP- how do you do ‘another’ compression out of windows media player? I’ve got an .avi from indeo, but can’t seem to find any export/save as option in order to recompress it. I’m a little confused by how you would have done it…

Sorry to ask your secrets- but I really dig your results!!!

Hi,

In windows movie maker, to save the movie file you have some compression options that I was force to use :frowning:

Gonçalo

why were you forced?

Thanks Goncalo for clarifying your technique. That’ s a really nice compression method. I’ve played with so many techniques in the past and it would often get quite frustrating. And yeah- I think he was forced to use it. Doesn’t really give you too many options for output. I’ll post my movie results above this topic.

Yes Psy, Jujubee is right I had no other option

Gonçalo

Very nice rendertime!

Can you post the render settings?

Amazing,

Gpnçalo, you should really begin to think about a tutorial for your photon map tecnique, would be great for this community.

   WONDERFUL¡¡
Please Gonçalo can you post your settings? Its incredible only 1 minute per frame¡¡¡
Only a question more,if you know
I put first and secondary bounce in global photon map and render
After i change secondary bounce to none (and first bounce in photon)
The render is the same
Try and you will see the same
Why???
Very very thanks in advance, you are the photon´s master

 That´s a clean render!!!
Very, very good!!

Any chance about the settings??
