I’ve used a couple of brick generators over the years, but they really only work with standard or soldier coursing. I need a large area of red, flemish bonded brick, and I am finding it difficult to get one.
I can generate it procedurally, but my skills make it look crap. A large, tileable panel of 25x24 bricks (or similar) would be ideal.
Have you taken a look at the bricks at http://cgtextures.com/? I find that site to be my go to place for lots of my textures. There’s also a great tutorial there on tiling a texture.
Thanks for the suggestion. I’ve had a look there, but with no success. I tend to find they are a bit esoteric, or small in size (as in the real world panel size). The hunt continues…
But there is no proper random bitmap support for the tile (you’ll have to wait for few months for that) so you’ll still end up with a lot of work to get nice photorealistic pattern.
Have you tried this? http://www.brick.com/md/index.htm is a program to create brick textures running and stack, yo can chage the mortar color also, interesting I think, I havent fully tested…
