Using Vantage 3.1.1 (newest)
V-ray 7.20.08 (newest)
TyFlow 1.133 Pro (newest)
I am pulling my hair out, i can’t seem to fix this issue: When rendering TyFlow / TyFlow Cache via LiveLink, the particles flicker in and out of existence from frame to frame.
Help! Anybody got a fix? Also i am using Mesh TryiMesh render node in TF, but i am not sure it matters when cached and rendered as instances/meshes (no difference btw).
It only happens when rendering sequence in Vantage. No problems in viewport or when scrubbing through timeline and looking in Vantage.
I have tried enabled render state as well as increasing the frame timeout significantly - no luck.
There are no re-timers or framerate issues, it is simply simulated in the current scene and cached.
Maybe it has to do with some of the displacement in the actual scene - it doesn’t take up much memory, but i often encounter problems with displacement in general. Will try to render without and see…

Check the Vantage debug log (from the help menu) for any warnings and errors in the problematic scene. Those would also show up as icons () in the bottom left of the Vantage window.
Thanks - I think i might have solved it after lots of testing trying to isolate the problem.
I seems that increasing the Frame timeout fixes the problem after all. Why it didn’t in earlier tests, i still can’t really figure out.
I have thousands of warnings on the :
11:45:13.383 Unsupported nested MtlSingleBRDF ‘Material #3559@mtl_brdf__463’.
11:45:13.394 Invalid UVs (idx : 1, name : ‘’) provided for mesh ‘Mesh_10657447917351849174_251’, they will be ignored !
But i get unsupported MtlSingleBRDF in every single scene link to. Can’t figure out what it is.
Both of these are due to V-Ray exporting a scene in a way that’s unexpected by Vantage.
I am curious to check what’s causing the nested MtlSingleBRDF, so it will be very helpful if you send us the scene that does this.
You can also send the scene to my e-mail (in my signature), but it’s best to go through support.
