hi there mates, i know it’s not been even a day, that the new vray 4SU came out, but sadly i am not able to download the trial, i input my details at the download page, it tells me that it will send me the email and everything, but i don’t get the email with the download link, is there some one who could help me out here??

quite disappointed after all the excitement and hype.
we should have at least all gotten a formal email of delay.
i hope someone from ASGVIS can explain this or give me some kind of reimbursement for the delay in release…

I have the same problem,
There was actually link on the release announcement email,towards the bottom, but after downloading the zip file and installing it, it said that my 30 day license code had already been used.
Not sure what the problem would be, really need to give it a try so i can convince the boss at work to upgrade.
Could it possibly be that i did some beta testing?? and the same license applies?
Will try to download a version from my work email tomorrow.

Well, I too requested and didn’t get an email. I just tried to request again and I got the link. Maybe you should try again…
Also, I’m not sure about this, but I believe there’s a working link in the announcement email that was dispatched if you are already on the mailing list. See attached image…

We worked from home, and last we checked all of the download links were working. I just hopped on to see if anyone was having issues. Do you guys have a problem when you try to download from here?:

We will look in to the issue with the links in the release email, and after the order tomorrow. We apologize for any inconveniences this may have caused. The reason nobody was informed of a delay, is we were under the impression it was all functioning properly.

one question though, doesn’t the new vray come with any OPTIONS and MATERIALS, because i can only find the default OPTIONS, but no material folder,
oh and one more thing, is there going to be an updated manual for this version, because i love the new features but there are a couple that i don’t know how to use them, and would really appreciate a manual about them. but again great update for Vray4SU, it’s a amazing improvement on an already awesome renderer software

Hey everyone
I’ve just downloaded the new version as specified on the link, but when i finish the install process, there’s nothing new on my sketchup interface. Nothing, not a single toolbar, i just can’t find the vray options or toolbars on sketchup…like if i’ve never install it.
I dont know wht to do, i was using the old version so far, so i unistall it to put the new version, and now i have none appearing inside sketchup
Any tips?

Did you ensure the path to Sketchup was the correct one?

Yep, im pretty sure, it was the path to sketchup 7…otherwise it wouldnt continue the installation process anyway…

take a look in side of your sketchup plugins directory, there should be a file in there called vfs.rb if the installation found your SketchUp installation properly.

that file is inside Plugin folder! when i click on Model-preferences, the vray is in the list of extensions, but there’s nothing on the working screen, buttons or toolbars, i just cant use vray, it’s so weird…it’s driving me nuts
During the installation, the license screen i’ve read about doesnt appear also

Yeah, a licensing dialog didn’t show because you already had a valid license on that machine I’m guessing. What about the plugins menu? If you click the plugins menu, is there an option for V-Ray for SketchUp?

I do have a valid license on this computer…but still i cant see the new vray toolbar anywhere…there’s no mention of it on the plugin menu…only in the preferences - extensions list..
i’ve installed on another computer and still didnt get any results. Im losing hope in here guys =(
