Hi, just like to ask, if fire and Volume Grid should work. As I tried it hard…
but, I need to mention that I have no experience with VDB and can’t find anything helping for fire.
Smoke works, but rendering crashes always after a few frames of any animation… thanks for any tips or information..
Hello Svetlin, I could made fire after more trying’s.. thank you.
But my VDB Animation Sequence is still crashing. The whole animation is 125 Frames @25FPS and after around 27 frames it crashes randomly… tried many times now..
I tried also Chaos cloud, but it seems that ChoasCloud does not support vdb’s…
I collected all necessary files and uploaded them in a zip to my dropbox.
I will will send Shaio a PM with the link. If you could try it or find out what’s wrong it would be much appreciated.
Regarding cloud, I tried only one frame, but the smoke was not visible in the rendering.. I’ve submitted through the send to cloud button in C4D Vray tab.
Good to know, that ChaosCloud should support it…
Please see attached, one screenshot from the cloud, one how it should look…
Thank you!
PS:
It isn’t an urgent request, this is no official job… just try and learn Vray5
I just like to add something to the screenshots.
My Focus was just on the vdb, but it looks like the floor texture and the motion blur is also missing.. talking about this ChaosCloud frame only..
Sorry to ask again… but could you find out what’s wrong?
The reason why I played around was to see how it works.. I would need to use vdb support to create some offroad dust…
Hey @haniel1107 ,
we’re still working on this one and looking for the cause of the crash. We did fix the problem with Chaos Cloud rendering the current frame only. The fix is included with the latest Hotfix 2, so if you’ve updated then you should be able to render more than one frame in Chaos Cloud. We will update the thread when we have more info on the crashes.
Yes it should be rendering the vdb files. Previously it was rendering only the current frame where now it should render the whole sequence as intended.
Thanks! I can confirm that VDB is now being rendered using Chaos Cloud, but there still seems to be an issue.
The ground texture is not rendering for some reason …
PLS see attached, one local rendering, one cloud rendering..
(Clean Floor is cloud rendering)
The ground texture is not rendering for some reason …
I’ve reported this to our Cloud team, and they will look in to it. I’ll update you when we have any progress on this one.
Upon checking your scene I found out that the issue is caused when the textures are loaded with the native Cinema4D shader and motion blur is enabled in the V-Ray Physical camera settings.
We will log this in our internal bug tracking system and will keep you updated.
Until then, as a workaround you could load the textures through VRayBitmap or disable the motion blur.
