VDenoise not denoising

I am trying to use VDenoise located in the Chaos folder. It works when selecting the default vray denoiser but when i choose the Nvidia AI denoiser or Intel denoiser, the results are a black screen and the output files are exactly the same with no noise reduction. These are on multichannel EXR files with the denoiser RE added and Only Generate Render Elements selected. Am I missing something?

The Intel Open Image Denoiser and Nvidia Denoiser use a different set of additional elements. Make sure you choose either engine before generating the elements (albedo, bumpNormals) and try again.

Thanks. Could you explain to me how i can include all the necessary elements into one EXR file so I can denoise in all 3 engines in Vdenoise to see which one gives the best results? I tried adding 3 denoiseRE in the render elements tab but only one engine gets all the necessary elements. I explain more here but @Muhammed_Hamed says its possible here https://forums.chaos.com/forum/v-ray…88#post1151388

Ive ask this here as well. which denoiser? - V-Ray for 3ds Max :: General - Chaos Forum

Any guidance would be great.

Thanks again.

I’m not sure what @Muhammed_Hamed meant (I’ll ask him), but this doesn’t seem possible. Otherwise, we do have an improvement request logged (internal bug-tracker id: VMAX-13757) to implement a “universal” mode of the VRayDenoiser. I’ll add your request as well. For now, you need to test, which denoiser gives you the best results in the VFB, before the final render.
