vfb doesnt remember the history directory in render history setting

It has to be set up manually everytome im reopening a scene

Those settings are currently stored per-ROP node.

So they should remain i guess when i reopen the scene and render from the same rop node which it dont right now. Exposure for example is stored.

LeoYfver, well, that seem to work for me… weird…

interesting, it havent worked for us and we been using it for a while. I while check if its something from our side

Anyway, I want to make this more usable.

Will it make sense to make this path global (non-scene-or-rop dependent) in general?
Or make this configurable?

Would LOVE to have it global or configurable in some fashion, it’s pretty tedious to set it up for every new rop you create. I checked and it’s not a hidden value on the rop so there’s no way to set it even via code.

+1 for this path to be stored globally (user prefs?)
agree with blented, i think this makes more sense to have it configurable per machine user. I think this is how it currently works in vray for maya. we only have to set it once, the first time using vray.
thanks

we’d also prefer it being set globally. would also allow quick viewing of older renders when opening the VFB, which is helpful sometimes!

Will be there in the next nightly.

By default history settings will be stored globally.

I’ve added a new control to store settings at ROP: ROP → Renderer → Options → VFB → “Store VFB History Settings on ROP” (default off).

There is also a new menu to tweak global history settings: V-Ray → Global Settings (not sure how it’ll be useful though =)

Your current history settings may be lost.

awesome. thankyou!
