The VRayEdgesTex only shows up if you enable “show incompatible” in the material editor!
Hm, which 3ds Max version is that? In 3ds Max 2011, I get it to show properly under the V-Ray maps, even without the “Show incompatible” option. Also, which renderer is currently selected? V-Ray or V-Ray RT?
Best regards,
Vlado
I use 3ds Max Design 2011 x64 with the new VRay 2.0.
It ONLY shows up when I enable “Show incompatible”. Maybe that’s because I enabled RT as active shade renderer?
I downloaded VRay 2.0 again. Even if it stated to be NOT the beta version I NOW see the VRayEdgesTex… ![]()
Yes, 3ds Max looks at what renderer is currently selected in the Render Setup dialog. If you toggle to the production V-Ray 2.0, you will see the texture. But in any case it should be fixed - thanks for the report!

Vlado
Merci, vlado!
I had the same with RT-2.0 and VrayDirt this morning. After switching back to vray production the VrayDirt map was there again.
