What are your displacement settings? Screengrab would help. Try adding a ‘subdivide’ modifier and set it to something like 500mm and see if that helps.

I’m no expert in displacement myself having had mixed success, but that looks OK to me. You might be able to reduce the subdivs down quite a bit given that you are already subdividing your mesh with the subdivide modifier.
