Default (image) – The Color or Temperature value (multiplied by the Multiplier value) directly determines the visible color of the light, and the intensity of the light depends on the Multiplier value, not the light source’s size.
BUTT!
Below is what the three images look like with Units set to Default (image). Similar results would be obtained with units set to Luminance (lm/m²/sr) or Radiance (W/m²/sr). With these light types, the intensity of the light is directly affected by the size of the light source.
Finally , Default (image) unit depends on light source size or not?!
The actual luminous power of the light does depend on the light source size when the units are “Default”, but the visible intensity of the light source surface when you look at it directly doesn’t change with the light size. Will make a point to update the documentation.
thanks
I guess this sentence is incorrect : Default (image) – … and the intensity of the light depends on the Multiplier value, not the light source’s size.
because of this :
I’m right???
I got confused!
Shadow bias in V-Ray light for 3ds max
Shadow bias – This value moves the shadow toward or away from the shadow-casting object (or objects). Lower values move the shadow toward the object(s) while higher values move it away. If this value is too low, shadows can “leak” through places they shouldn’t, produce moire patterns or make out-of-place dark areas on surfaces. If this value is too high, shadows can “detach” from an object. If the value is too extreme in either direction, shadows might not appear in the rendering at all.
But I tested this and result was vice versa : Lower Values move the shadow away and higher valued move it toward the object
