Funny that you mention that. I actually made something similar to your idea: The Alfa standing in front of a building, on wet ground. The car has some dirt on the fenders, and raindrops on the windows. Will upload it when I am back at work next week, okay? Kris: Yes, I usually get the data from the client. Mostly triangulated, though. If the data is coming from a cad program, you can make the edges of the individual surface patches visible in Max, which is what I did for the grayshades/wireframes.
